The 5th Uswathunnabi International Academic Conference is set to take place on 3 September at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, and 9 September at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. The conference brings together scholars, researchers, academicians, and students from across India to engage in meaningful academic discussions on the life and legacy of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

As part of the conference, a nationwide call for abstracts was issued under the theme:

“The Prophet ﷺ in Motion: Travel, Migration, and the Ethics of Connection.”

The response was overwhelming, with more than a thousand abstracts submitted by scholars and students from diverse academic disciplines. Following a rigorous review process, a select number of abstracts have been shortlisted for presentation at the conference.

This year’s theme explores movement as a vital framework for understanding the Prophetic life, the transmission of knowledge, and the development of Islamic intellectual traditions. From the historic Hijrah to the growth of global scholarly networks, the conference examines how these ideas continue to shape contemporary conversations on migration, identity, cultural exchange, and ethical responsibility.

The conference aims to provide a vibrant platform for scholarly dialogue, encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives and meaningful academic engagement on topics of enduring global relevance.
